Youth Club animation / Animeiddio Clwb Ieuenctid




Bernadette Rippon, Mostyn’s Head of Learning, is working with Dolwyddelan youth club to make a stop frame animation based on the mythical themes found in Anselm Kiefer’s work. Here are some images of the progress so far…

AMSER KIEFER, AMSER NI



Local young people are being inspired by the themes Anselm Kiefer has on German Culture in his artworks. The young people participating in this project are working on transforming a hoodie to incorporate their own message board to express their own opinions/themes about young British Culture.

Mae pobl ifanc lleol wedi’u hysbrydoli gan themâu diwylliant Almaenig yng ngweithiau celf Anselm Kiefer. Mae’r bobl ifanc sy’n cymryd rhan yn y prosiect yn gweithio ar drawsnewid hwdi i ymgorffori eu hysbysfwrdd eu hunian i ddatgan eu teimladau/themâu am Ddiwylliant Ifanc Prydeinig.



Take pART / Cymrwch RAN














Take pART was a great success with another fantastic year in Venue Cymru. Mostyn had a stand in the Arena making Anselm Kiefer inspired Masks and Mural, we used his ‘secret life of plants’ as a title to inspire our work. Here are some images of some of the 250+ people we worked with…

Anselm Kiefer workshops / Gweithdai Anselm Kiefer








Sioned Phillips and Ysgol Eglwysbach started KS1-2 Kiefer workshops today – here they are in the gallery looking at Kiefer’s work and making their own Kiefer inspired artworks – very creative students – hope to see Ysgol Eglwysbach in Mostyn again soon!

Gweu Gwylliaid yn y Mosyn!!! / Guerilla Knitting in Mostyn!!!

Bernadette Rippon, Mostyn’s head of Learning, led 3D making workshops inspired by David Nash’ exhibition. Students created individual textile panels and sculptures all inspired by trees and nature. A big thank you to all the students who participated and here are some images of the fantastic artwork made:

Cyfweliad gyda Rosemary Sharman/ Rosemary Sharman interview



Daeth Dawn Wilson ar wythnos o brofiad gwaith i'r Mostyn. Yn ystod ei chyfnod yma cynhaliodd gyfweliad gyda Rosemary Sharman, un o artistiaid Mostyn Agored 2011, a mae modd gwrando ar y cyfweliad yma. Da iawn i Dawn am gynnal cyfweliad gwych a diolch mawr i Rosemary am adael i ni gael golwg i mewn i'w gwaith.

Dawn Wilson attended a week placement in Mostyn as part of her work experience. During this time she interviewed Rosemary Sharman, one of our Mostyn Open artists, available to listen here. Well done Dawn for conducting a fantastic interview and a big thank you to Rosemary for giving us an insight into her work.
